Kinds of bridges

The creation of the bridge was not only an invention however one of many worlds greatest ideas in getting from one place to another. It has enabled folks to go locations they normally would not be capable of go do to canyons within the mountains or large lots of water. There are a lot of various kinds of bridges that serve the same perform but separates them as a result of how they were made and what location they are getting used in. The assorted forms of bridges are beam, truss, arch, suspension, cable stayed, and cantilever.

The beam bridge was taken from a more easy bridge referred to as the log bridge. Ages in the past man would use a log to move over a stream to get to the other side. However in at present’s time, man has advanced this technique into what is known as a beam bridge. This type of bridge include a horizontal beam that connects to every finish of the pier. And due to the lack of help below any such bridge, you will not see one that is over 250 feet. (more…)

Palmyra House outside of Mumbai on the Arabian Sea, designed by the Architect Bijoy Jain. The Palmyra House makes you feel as if you live on a palm tree..

The Palmyra House based on a 3000 square feet area, consists of two wooden louvered structure. A courtyard and a tiny pool that allows you to swim in the endless landscape of the palm trees, separate the structures. The Palmyra House is located in a plantation of coconut trees. Potala Palace

As King Songtsen Gampo’s 7th century structure was almost completely destroyed, the oldest sections of the Potala Palace date mostly from the time of Lozang Gyatso, the Fifth Dalai Lama with additions by the 13th Dalai Lama. Perched on Marpo Ri Hill, this former seat of government was also the residence of Tibet’s spiritual leader. (more…)

The Tivoli Concert Hall

The Tivoli Concert Hall, which was designed by the architects Hans Hansen and Hans Hansen and built in 1956, was one of the largest and the most current concert hall in Europe of the time. After 10 months of building and restoration in 2005, which had costed about 125 million DKK, by the architects of 3XN.

Wall House

The Wall House, which comes into conflict with traditional walls we are used to, is built according to an innovative and inventive design of the FAR (Frohn & Rojas) Architechts, Marc Frohn and Mario Rojas. Despite of the fact that the design is futuristic and interesting, it is questionable that if many people would be willing to live in place like the Wall House.

Angkor Wat Temple Complex

This majestic constructure is a temple that called Angkor Wat, meaning “City Temple”, in Angkor, Cambodia. In 12th century Angkor Wat was built for King Suryavarman II.
